What You Need

To enjoy my Sweeter Home or SWH2 themes, you do NOT have to root your phone! Just simply download Sweeter Home 2 Beta from the links provide in each theme's page or the Direct Download's News Feed.

The first thing that anyone who wants to use my themes must do is root your phone. There are tons of guides out there that teach you how to do it and it's actually very simple. I do not take responsibility for anything that happens to your phone during the rooting process (even though it is highly unlikely that anything will).

How To Root

This link provides very detailed instructions on how to root your Android device:

Step 1: Download a SuperUser File. I can't post the link here but just Google "SuperUser Permissions Droid". It shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes to find a working link.

Step 2: Rename the SuperUser Permissions File (which should be a .zip) to "update". Then mount your Droid to your PC and drag the "Update" to the root directory of your SD Card. (The root directory is just the SD Card; NOT IN A FOLDER)

Step 3: Unmount your phone and turn it completely off. Then open your slide-out keyboard. With the slide-out keyboard open, hold down the "X" key and the power button until you are faced with a /!\ logo. Then press and hold the Volume Up + button and the gold Camera button.

Step 4: You should now see the System Recovery screen and just select "Update with Update.zip". (Select it using the Volume + and - buttons).

Step 5: Reboot your device. Look in your apps slide up for the icon "Superuser Permission".

Then your finished. Thats it. Your phone is rooted.

Now that your phone is rooted, comes an even easier part.

Download Metamorph and AndExplorer. They are both free apps from the market and are required to run my themes.

Complete Steps 7 - 19.

This is just to ensure that you backup your phone BEFORE you add any of the themes that I post on here.

Metamorph takes the files that I make and replaces them with the Stock files that are located on your phone. To ensure that no one damages their phone, complete those steps so that if you do not like a theme that I make, you can just simply back-up using Nandroid, your Stock theme.
